Anazao Galleries Grand Opening on February 12 at the Oasis

Anazao Galleries, a timeless collection of art, fine jewelry, antiques, and fashion and décor accessories from around the world, announces its Grand Opening on February 12 at the Oasis, one of Riverside’s most historically significant addresses.

The art and fine gift gallery will feature one of a kind art glass and original oil paintings including women dancing, the French countryside, nature scenes and religious subjects by a renowned group of international artists including Robert Held, Diana Mendoza, Anna Razumovskaya, and Antonio Iannicelli. Works by several local artists will rotate through the gallery, as well.

Anazao Galleries is also offering several fine jewelry collections exclusive to Jacksonville.

Kimberlin Brown’s hand-made pieces, worn by Adele and the models on Zac Posen’s runways, are created using reclaimed and responsibly sourced gold and silver and conflict free gems from around the world as varied in color as a coral reef.

The gallery is one of only nine retailers and galleries in the United States to feature this line, which celebrates the natural beauty of the many remote and off the beaten path destinations Kimberlin has visited.

Another sustainable line of jewelry available exclusively in Jacksonville at Anazao Galleries is Emilie Shapiro. The New York-based designer creates her pieces using recycled metals and ethically sourced gemstones.

Using the ancient craft of lost wax casting which dates back to the Egyptians, Emilie carves sculptural pieces into hard wax and casts them into metal. She then incorporates rough gemstones into her handmade jewelry.

Anazao Galleries will not only cater to art lovers, fashionistas will find a elegant collection of clothing and hand-made accessories. Some of these items include colorful and eclectic Moksha wraps, hand crafted silk and ultra fine merino wool scarves created through the fine art of nuno felting, marbled silk jackets and blouses for women, and marbled silk shirts, ties, bowties, cumber buns and pocket squares for men. Each piece of marbled artwear is created using the same centuries old techniques used to create marbled papers in Japan, Turkey and Italy.

Anazao Galleries will host a champagne reception on February 12 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm to celebrate its Grand Opening at the Oasis, 1662 Stockton Street in Riverside. Gallery hours will be announced soon.

About the Oasis. At the corner of Riverside Avenue and Stockton Street, the Dutch Colonia home was purchased as a wedding gift for the son of Mr. Smith who married Henry Flagler’s daughter. In 1904 architect J.H. W. Hawkins designed the three story brick and shingle house for his new son-in-law, Augustus V.S. Smith, who was the general counsel for Henry Flagler’s F. E. C. Railway.
