Artist Biography

 

D. Richards

Richards real name is Shon Choong Gun. He was born in the San Dong
Providence of China on August 15, 1966.
The beauty of Art intrigued Richards at an early age in life. His
fascination with paintings inspired him to attend and graduate from the
Cho Jang Art College, where he majored in Fine Art. During this period,
he studied the art of oil paintings and mastered the style of the pallet
knife as his method of choice for painting.

In 1987 he entered the Sang
Dong Providence Art Festival and finished in 2nd place.
Currently, Richards lives and paints at his studio in the Tong Zhou
District of Beijing, China. He is a quiet man who enjoys spending time
with his wife and daughter. He is also his happiest when he is in the
solitude of his art studio where he can concentrate and enjoy the art that
has inspired his mink and indulged his soul ever since he was a child.

In his studio Richards, a quiet and modest man, is able to express his
emotions and personality through his art. Richards specializes in painting
impressionistic paintings and semi abstract images.
